Infused Performing Arts Perform at NBA Half-time Show | Indo ...

HOUSTON: On January 2, Infused Performing Arts became the youngest Bollywood dance company to perform at an NBA half-time show. Their colorful costumes, elaborate formations, high-energy moves, and daring stunts delighted the crowds of people who came to see the Houston Rockets beat the New Orleans Hornets at the Toyota Center in the first game of the new year. The half-time show featured a total of twenty Infused dancers, ranging in ages from thirteen to thirty. The original choreography mixed Mumbai and Chennai beats, bringing the city of Houston to its feet.

With each and every performance, Artistic and Creative Directors Tina Bose-Kumar and Kiron Kumar strive to present a unique blending of dance styles emerging from diverse cultural inspirations.??Their mission is to re-define Bollywood by integrating classical, folk, and popular dance forms from both the East and the West. In addition to the dance company that performs at events across Texas, Infused Performing Arts also offers dance classes to people of all ages and experience levels. Classes are currently being held at their dance studios in Stafford, Pearland, Carrolton, and Dallas.

Tina Bose-Kumar is trained in tap, ballet, jazz, and Bharatanatyam dance styles.??Her husband Kiron Kumar is a versatile instructor and choreographer of modern and Bollywood dance and is also an expert magician.??Infused Performing Arts was recently featured on ABC News as the only dance company in the world to combine magic, Bollywood , and storytelling.??However, the Kumars insist that the true magic occurs as their students develop life-long friendships and grow in self-discovery through the art form of dance.
