We often stick to the bathroom we already have because we think that it is way too costly. In fact, renovating or remodeling your bathroom does not have to cost so much. If you are tired of the way your bathroom looks, then it is time for an upgrade. Do not avoid turning your bathroom into something unique and beautiful. It should be as magnificent as the other rooms in the home. The 20th century interior designing is the best way to start such as upgrading to a Modern design bathroom. There are ways to upgrade your bathroom even if you have are on a budget. If you want to completely remodel and really achieve the modern look, you will end up changing all your bathroom fixture and even lighting fixtures. In the end it will all be worth it and will surely satisfy you no doubt.
Start by visiting home improvement stores and hardware stores. Check out all the available bathroom fixtures like sink, toilets and bathtubs that have to do with modern designs. There are so many choices to choose from but have fun with it. Every element should stand out and be as modernly unique as possible.
Choose a vessel sink that it mounted onto your countertop. There are variety choices for vessel sinks, such as a bowl, rectangular, or oval shaped white porcelain vessel sink. Vessel stone sink made of marble or granite is a wonderful choice for a modern sink. Choose faucets that are made with brushed steel, nickel, or brass. Bathtubs could come in various shapes. Choose rectangular shaped tubs or a bowl shaped tub to match with your vessel bowl sink. Have it as unique as possible.
Your sink does not have to be on a counter it can be held by a chrome tube or porcelain leg type tube if you do want your sink mounted on your countertop. Wood is a good choice or have a marble or granite countertop with wooden vanity cabinet attached on the bottom. Modern design requires having more space, so have a countertop with vanity cabinets that do not go all the way down to the floor. For a more clean look, choose a vanity cabinet that do not have handles or in which the drawers are not recognizable, as if is it just a whole countertop.
Paint your walls with neutral colors for a more relaxing feel. If you do not want all your walls to be plain, have it designed with unique modern tile design like the wall near your bath tub. Make an accent wall with a creative glass tile mural. Make the walls of your bathroom creative as possible as if it is no longer a bathroom. Modern design has a lot of open space, so either put a glass door where your bathtub is or leave it open. Place a clear door where your shower is.
Accessorize your bathroom by having soap, toothbrush and towel holders match material type of your sink, toilet flush, and shower faucets. If the faucets are brushed nickel, choose accessories that relates to that. Place a large rectangular mirror above your sink, to throw in the clean line element. Use clear shower curtains for more open space. Place white towels on the racks. Lighting is an important asset in modern design, choose unique modern pendant lighting or place a rectangular sconces lighting on both sides of the mirror. For plain walls, place a unique abstract painting to be brightening the room and finish up the touch of your modern bathroom.
Have the bathroom clutter free so it will not destroy the modern look of your bathroom. Just have fun designing your bathroom and make it look like it is not a bathroom. After all, a bathroom is another place where we could relax, so keep it clean and always fresh.
