It?s official. People are sick and tired of paying for ?unlimited? services, which are anything but ? and now T-Mobile has announced plans to capitalize on people?s cynicism by offering a new, throttle-free service called the Unlimited Nationwide 4G Data plan, which can be enjoyed by new and existing customers alike.
Users of the company?s Value plans will be able to take advantage of the new service for the princely sum of $20 a month, and those who utilize one of T-Mob?s other plans will have to fork out $30, but for that outlay they can enjoy cap-less, throttle-less access to T-Mobile's network.
There is one minor caveat secreted in the terms and conditions of the new service though: Users of the Unlimited Nationwide 4G Data plan won't be able to use it with tethering.
Yep, that's right, folks, T-Mobile?s new ?unlimited? add-on is, in all honesty, just a wee bit limited. Users who want to make use of Wi-Fi hotspot functionality will still be required to make use of one of the company's older, more draconian plans that throttle the holy hell out of your connection if you go over your limits.
But even with that setback T-Mobile's offering is far more competitive than some --?AT&T, we're looking in your direction.
