KL kid friendly restaurants ? Part 2 | Malaysian Parenting and ...

It?s nice to take a break from cooking at home and go out to eat for a change. theAsianparent.com came up with and updated list of kid friendly restaurants in KL and PJ that your little one would enjoy.

Get out of the house and take a break from all the cooking. Treat you and your family to a delicious and wholesome meal at any of these kid-friendly restaurants.

1.?????? Fitfor2

Located in Bangsar Village II, Fitfor2 is unquestionably one of the most family friendly places in KL. Fresh and nutritious food is packaged in an interesting menu for both you and your kids, who can also have fun in the play area. While your young ones are having fun in the play area, mummies can go for a workout at the studio which offers pre and post natal classes as well as classes for regular people. Classes such as yoga, pilates and fitball are available for both men and women. On top of their caf? and studio classes, there?s a private breast feeding area and a nappy changing facility with free nappies! Fitfor2 also offer children a free baby muffin and baby-cino on their visit to Fitfor2!

2.?????? Stuff Your Face Caf?

Stuff Your Face Caf? is conveniently located behind Bangsar Shopping Centre?s Jungle Gym to feed hungry children after their play-time. Your kids will enjoy the selection with favourites such as mini slider burgers, peanut butter and banana sandwiches, and healthy chicken nugget alternative (coated in Ritz biscuit crumbs).

3.?????? Caterpillar Caf?

Caterpillar Caf? is a fun place to go with your kids to grab a good wholesome meal. Located on the ground floor with large aisles, there?s plenty of room to wheel your prams around. A nappy change area and a small cosy breast feeding room are also available for mummies. A play area with toys, books and crayons are also available for the amusement of young kids. Caterpillar caf? believes in serving fresh, healthy and yummy food ? all without MSG, no preservatives, as well as less sugar and salt content. Everything is made by hand daily in the caf? from their delicious soups, flavourful sauces, their hot-favourite chicken nuggets, burgers and even their salad dressings and yummy desserts.

4.?????? Las Carretas

Jump in ?The Wagon? (translated as Las Carretas in Spanish) to have a great Mexican food with your family. Unwind with an ice-cold margarita while your kids enjoy the cartoons on the television or busy colouring and drawing with their complimentary colouring kits. Las Carretas has a wide variety of food to choose from such as a good selection of steaks, ribs, stews and seafood. Kids are also able to enjoy Las Carretas? favourites by offering them in kid-sized portions (with a little less spice)!

5.?????? Antipodean Caf?

Antipodean Caf? channels the Aussie caf? vibe with its menu scribbled on the caf??s chalkboard wall. Famous for their breakfast and coffee, the plus side is that they?re kid friendly too with a little kid?s play area complete with toys, games and a television to keep your child entertained. Antipodean also serves interesting salads, sandwiches (imagine open bacon, rocket and tomatoes), Kiwi lamb burgers and Asian delights. Desserts are also available which will accompany their invigorating Arabica blends.

6.?????? Out of Africa

Get out of KL and into Africa? Children are never too young to be introduced to new cuisines. Out of Africa serves South African food such as spicy grilled chicken, ostrich steak fillets, African oxtail stews and venison pies. The kids menu features a variety of dishes such as pasta, lamb chops, mini sirloin steak and hamburgers. Kids are also able to enjoy the rustic safari atmosphere and mini jungle playground while you enjoy some quiet time with a glass of wine.

7.?????? Prego

Indulge in an authentic Italian meal at Prego in Westin Hotel Kuala Lumpur. With an open kitchen and vast dining space, you can view maestros at work as they passionately conjure up dishes from only the freshest ingredients. ?Prego serves the most delicious regional pastas, gnocchi and oven-baked pizzas among many other mouth-watering dishes. You might also want to try their Bubblalicious Sunday Brunch, with a free flow of G.G. Mumm Champagne. Kids can also enjoy themselves at the Westin Kids Club on top of the tasty food!

8.?????? The Apartment

With comfy sofas and sleek designer d?cor, you can decide which ?room? you?d like to dine in at The Apartment. There?s a variety of delicious and wholesome food such as mussels and clams in cr?me fraiche, white wine, yellow onion, garlic and thyme; duck and mango salad; piquant cream grilled chicken; Jamie?s duck pasta; prawn and guacamole sandwich; and lamb cutlets. Kids can also choose their pick from their own menu of fish and chips, pasta, chicken fingers and mini burgers. Your young one will also be able to colour and draw while waiting for their meal to arrive.

9.?????? Italiannies

There are several Italiannies outlets all around Malaysia. With dishes made to share, it is ideal restaurant for families. Kids also get a fantastic deal at Italiannies, with every adult main course you will get a complimentary main course from the kids menu. However, these dishes tend to adopt a more global take on Italian food, so don?t expect the most authentic Italian meal. Having said that, it?s a cosy and cheerful dining experience with their rustic interior and lovely photographs of families adorning the walls, lacy curtains and dark wooden furniture. You will also be served deliciously freshly baked bread served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar while waiting for your food.

10.?? Sakae Sushi

If your craving for some Japanese food, be sure to check out Sakae Sushi. Kids eat for free every first Sunday of the month, with a selection of 30 varieties of sushi for kids as well as other dishes such as teppanyaki, yakimono, ramen/soba/udon, and donburi. Kid sets comes with a cartoon-print container. Kids can also stand the chance to win freebies, join lucky draws, and have their picture taken with the restaurant?s mascot ? a green frog.
