Lecturer/Senior Lecturer Faculty Position in Biology
Penn State Harrisburg, School of Science, Engineering, & Technology invites applications for a non-tenure track Lecturer position in Biology starting August 2013. Specialization in any branch of biology is considered, but expertise in zoology, field biology, anatomy, and physiology is desirable. Duties will include teaching responsibilities for both majors and non-majors in introductory biology courses, and will also include lecture and laboratories in at least one more specialized area, such as: cell and molecular biology; genomics/proteomics/
metabolomics; structure and development of higher organisms; etc. Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to recruit and advise students; perform administrative tasks required to maintain accreditation; and contribute quality service to the University/College and the profession. An earned Ph.D. in Biology or a closely-related field and prior college-level teaching experience are required.
