Marcus Amaker, labeled an "all-around Renaissance guy" by the Charleston City Paper and "one of Charleston's most unique" by Charleston Magazine, has released his fourth poetry book.
The 112-page collection, "the present presence," contains poems written between 2008 and April of this year. Marcus designed the pocket-sized book himself. "the present presence" also features his photography, and is available at amazon.com and in select local stores.
A live poetry performance is scheduled to close out Piccolo Spoleto's Sundown Poetry Series on June 8th in the Dock Street Theatre's courtyard. The 6:30 p.m. performance is free to the public. For more information on the show, click here.
